Overview:

• To support the wider Corporate Treasury & Financial Management team to ensure the Bank’s Treasury activities and demands are managed efficiently and within internal and external guidelines by the dealers. 
• To provide Treasury MI and full analysis, including COF to support FTP projects.
• Liaise with internal departments of IB, SA and London branch to ensure the smooth running of the CT desk and all daily requirements.
• To manage the daily Treasury administrative tasks of ABC IB, and ABC SA in conjunction with the Corporate Treasury desk.
• Provide Treasury support to ABC (B.S.C) London branch when required.
  

What You Will Be Doing:

The job is office based only, 5 days a week in the office, requiring to be flexible with the working hours as the team usually starts at 7.30 am. The role can be demanding and highly stressful, with tight deadlines to get this achieved. The right candidate will operate and fulfil the job requirements precisely and accurately while meeting the highest level of professional standards. Considering the current regulatory climate, the candidate will face constant scrutiny in relation to compliance and will have to be pro-active to fulfil these requirements while performing their tasks. It is essential for the candidate to be efficient, pro-active, hard-working, able to work on their own initiative within guidelines but also a team player. We are a very close team and support each other.

Legal and Regulatory

• Adhere to all relevant internal/external regulations, guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Once enabled, to ensure dealing is within risk limits set in the Trading & Investment Limits document and in their individual Dealer Mandate/role.
• To understand that dealing should be within approved country and counterparty credit risk exposure limits.
• To comply with FCA guidelines regarding daily market practices and the Code of Conduct (FCA handbook – COCON rules).
• To adhere to the Money Markets codes.

Performance

• Working with the team to assist in the achievement of the departmental budget.
• To understand the requirements for covering all term cash positions, accounts and fund IB, ABC SA Paris and their branches ensuring compliance with internal and external funding metrics with a view to becoming a dealer. 
• Learn about the internal systems used by Treasury such as Kondor+, CMS and external platforms such as FXALL, 360T and Bank platforms.
• Once qualified, to deal using the Reuters dealing conversation platform and ensure that transactions have been captured correctly.
• Monitor market information and prices from systems such as Eikon and Bloomberg to expand Treasury and market knowledge.
• Liaise with Group Treasury in Bahrain to assist with information required and queries. 
• Develop and maintain working relationships with the other Bank ABC Group.
• Maintain a strong professional presence when speaking to internal and external contacts.
• Provide essential MI and analysis on the CT function asset and liability costs to assist with FTP allocation. 
• Mathematical skills essential plus strong PowerPoint and advanced excel skills.
• Monitor Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) allocations to internal departments and provide pricing to support areas.
• Understand the role of the FM sales desk.
• Understand the daily DMR report with a view to report on any unusual divergence in interest income.
• Manage the cash flow positions ensuring latest inflows/outflows are captured and EWI’s are raised.
• Liaise with internal control, Group IT and Treasury Operations with Kondor+ and system issues.
• To understand CT market IRRBB and liquidity positions and mismatches.

Marketing and Development

• Learn the funding, interest rate and foreign exchange requirements of IB, ABC SA and their branches.
• Completion of ACI Dealing Certificate and further internal/external training, workshops and seminars as required.
• To enhance understanding of economic and political events which influence the financial markets.
• Continue to improve knowledge of the products and instruments involved in Treasury activities.

Communication

• Develop and maintain a close working relationship with all other Treasury staff.
• To develop a good level of communication with other internal and external stakeholders.
• To report any concerns, limit excesses or issues immediately to the Head of Corporate Treasury.

• Continue to improve knowledge of the products and instruments involved in Treasury activities.
• Develop and maintain a close working relationship with all other Treasury staff.

Candidate Specification:

• Have a good interest in and knowledge of the financial markets
• Good knowledge of Treasury products
• A sound knowledge of mathematics and economics
• Good level of Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
• A level or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years banking experience
• Must work efficiently and under pressure within a fast-paced environment
• Adept at managing multiple, diverse tasks simultaneously
• Effective team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be willing to be flexible on time management and working hour
