Overview:
The job holder will be primarily responsible for the build-out, development and customer adoption of our end-to-end Digital Cash Management proposition for our clients. In doing so, you will ensure alignment to customer requirements in Europe and respective industry practices including, compliance with local and regional regulations.
As the Digital Product Owner, you will have in depth functional experience covering all Payments, Collections, FX, corporate to bank connectivity, SWIFT, and liquidity products with regional ownership of local domestic products across Europe.
What You Will Be Doing:
Product Development & Delivery:
- Support the Head of Cash Management Europe in the development of the Cash Management product strategy across Europe, ensuring it aligns with customer needs.
- Working closely with business units across UK & Europe to develop local in-country cash products, including SEPA products.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g. Business, compliance, information security etc.) to define a digital product/feature roadmap across payments & cash management for product development, prioritization and implementation.
- Creation of end-to-end implementation / onboarding procedures for each sub-cash product ensuring they are embedded as part of the existing framework.
- Identify and disseminate new digital technologies and trends to relevant stakeholders with potential applications in cash management to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Assist with the development of client-facing marketing collateral for cash management products.
Agile Product Management:
- Conduct user testing/research and gather feedback to iterate, optimize digital features and user satisfaction, while assisting with the development of business cases to support recommendations (as necessary).
- Lead UAT testing of digital products, signing-off releases to production.
- Demonstrate active product life cycle management while ensuring continual adherence with domestic and regional regulatory requirements for all products, including Cash booking, liquidity management and SEPA
Customer Success & Adoption:
- Work closely with Relationship Managers, product sales and middle office teams to understand the Voice of the Customer, their needs and pain points.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive digital product adoption and usage across WB Europe.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track product success, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Oversee the onboarding and support of new/existing customers to our digital cash management platform across Europe. This includes ensuring smooth and efficient implementation of the platform, providing ongoing training and support, and proactively addressing customer concerns.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Possess an understanding of relevant financial regulations, information and compliance requirements for cash management solutions.
- Partner with the legal and compliance teams to ensure all product features and functionalities are compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement effective controls to mitigate potential risks.
Any other activities that are initiative, project or ad-hoc led that may be requested.
Candidate Specification:
- Excellent understanding of cash management products for Wholesale banking clients, including payments, liability management and SEPA
- A deep understanding of the payment industry, including customer needs, pain points, and expectations, as well as the regulatory and compliance requirements
- A strong technical background and knowledge of payments technologies, platforms and standards such as APIs, SDKs, PCI, PSD2, SCA, COP etc.
- CertICM is preferable but not necessary.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in or higher education in computer science, engineering, business or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cash Management, preferably product management, covering all products and within the Fintech and banking industry
- Client facing experience, particularly in pre-sales and product solutioning.
- A proven track record of leading and delivering successful payment products and solutions, from ideation to launch, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, delivery focused, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization internally and externally, highly organized and attentive to detail.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- A strong level of commercial acumen and pro-activeness with the ability and willingness to take the initiative.
